About BASC
The Environmental Brigade of Santa Catarina (BASC) is an organization committed to environmental protection, education and defense. We operate directly and indirectly, with special focus on the 10 municipalities of the AMFRI region, providing essential support during natural disasters such as floods, landslides, and urban and forest fires. Our work goes beyond emergency relief; we strengthen communities through courses and lectures on environmental education, first aid and firefighting, empowering children, youth and adults to handle diverse situations and become responsible citizens committed to the environment.

To operate directly and indirectly across the 10 municipalities of the AMFRI region, providing essential support during natural disasters and strengthening community efforts in prevention, enforcement and environmental education.

To be a reference in disaster response and environmental education in Santa Catarina, generating significant positive impact and changing behaviors through focus and discipline.

Coverage Area
Our headquarters are in Itajaí, but our brigade operates across the entire state of Santa Catarina, with special focus on the AMFRI region (Association of Municipalities of the Itajaí River Mouth).
